The Coordination Office Against FGM_C advises, counsels and consults on all issues concerning Female Genital Mutilation_Cutting (FGM_C). The goal of the office is to organize and further develop FGM_C services in an interdisciplinary manner, to strengthen and support professional competencies and to raise awareness about FGM_C amongst the public.

The Berlin Coordination Office Against FGM_C “Berliner Koordinierungsstelle gegen FGM_C”
In the spirit of comprehensive healthcare, the Coordination Office Against FGM_C not only offers medical services, but also provides psychological support and psycho-social group sessions for affected persons. Health education and empowerment is offered within communities through peer-to-peer support. Furthermore, the coordination office focuses on raising awareness among professionals and trains them to support those affected by FGM_C.
Our hotline (+49176-34362027) provides the first point of contact and support for affected persons and professionals. It also enables easy and low-threshold connection to services.
The coordination office is a cross-agency cooperation under the leadership of the Family Planning Center - BALANCE. Our other two partners are TERRE DES FEMMES and Desert Flower Center Waldfriede.
